Terms of Service

Benben ERP is licensed as a named, single-user, single-workstation license. Each license key is issued for one designated user on one designated workstation. You may not share, transfer, sublicense, or redistribute license keys. Running the software on additional workstations or for additional named users requires separate licenses.

Benben ERP operates as a local-first application. Your business records are stored in your local PostgreSQL database on hardware you control. Benben Software, Inc. does not operate a cloud database for your orders, ledger entries, invoices, inventory, or other operational records, and does not process those business records on Benben-hosted infrastructure.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Benben Software, Inc.' total cumulative liability arising from or related to Benben ERP shall not exceed the fees you paid to Benben Software, Inc. for the software during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your local database, application data, and any private cloud or off-site copies you choose to maintain. Benben Software, Inc. is not responsible for data loss resulting from hardware failure, operator error, insufficient backup procedures, or failure to maintain current backup copies.

Benben Software, Inc. may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Benben ERP after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
